Culture Minister Alejandro Neyra on Friday announced that tourist visits to archaeological sites in Pisac will resume on October 15. During his visit to Cusco region, the minister noted that, starting October 15, tourists will be able to visit seven important archaeological sites, which constitute the cultural and historical legacy of the South American nation.

The Decentralized Culture Directorate of Cusco (DDC) has ordered the temporary closure of Pisac Archaeological Park due to the damage caused by the overflow of Kitamayo River that affected the city, Peru's Ministry of Culture reported on Friday. The measure adopted by the DDC Cusco was communicated to travel and tourism agencies, authorized tourist guides, and the general public.
